Feature & Follow Friday

Welcome to Feature and Follow Friday!

The Author Visits is stoked to participate in Feature & Follow Friday sponsored by Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read.

Each week, Feature & Follow features two chosen blogs and asks a question for bloggers to participate in. The goal is to get new followers to your blog and return the favor by following their blogs. It is a blog hop for bloggers and a novel networking opportunity.

You can read the details here if interested in participating.

This week, the question posed is:

What are your non-book guilty pleasures?

I love to cook! Most weeknights, the way I unwind is to whip up an organic meal for my family. I’ve been experimenting lately and made a kick-ass beef stew from scratch. It took over three hours to prepare from chopping, to braising, to sautéing to simmering. But the results were killer.  You can find the recipe here.

Of course, when I get the chance, I love to watch The Voice, Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy, Big Bang Theory, True Blood, The American Horror Series, Castle and a few other shows. Guilty pleasure for sure is watching The Twilight Movies.

Then there’s travel. Going to new places, eating, drinking and being merry with the locals is definitely something I enjoy – not sure if it’s guilty but it definitely falls under the pleasure category.

  3. Hopping through. I like the Twilight movies. What’s your favorite? The first one is my favorite despite all its faults. I liked the rawness of it.

  4. Oh yes!! I watch all those shows too. Seriously I can’t get enough of TV. I know people who shun it and act like watching TV is trash but you know what? I really enjoy it. It’s like reading a book but watching it happen.

  5. Organic cooking – now that is what I need to do! I am trying to get D to eat more vegetables and less carbs for dinner. Not going over so well. :/

I also love to travel – or at least see others’ photos of their travels.

New Follwer – thanks for stopping by Girl of 1000 Wonders!

Thanks for stopping by. I cook well but I don’t really like to cook. I used to but I just don’t know what happened. I hate it now. Once I finally do it, I am glad to eat a home cooked meal. Maybe once I relocate and get settled I will love cooking again.

I cannot wait for True Blood. I am sad this is the last season and don’t know what I will do with once it’s over. I think I will miss Eric more than anything. :)
